Salted caramel braised parsnips

Everyday Favourites unsalted butter 3 tbsps
Cayenne pepper 1/8 tsp
Light brown sugar ¼ cup
Everyday Favourites parsnips 500g
Sea salt a pinch of


  1. In a small saucepan, melt 1 tbsp. of the butter and add in the cayenne pepper.
  2. Stir to lightly toast then remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan over medium heat, melt the remaining 2 tbsp. butter, add the brown sugar, and bring to a low boil, stirring to combine then reduce heat and simmer for five minutes.
  4. Add the baby parsnips back in to the mix, stir to coat in the sea salt and set aside.
