Our locally sourced beef is Scotch Beef PGI accredited, meaning it has been specially selected and sourced from Scottish farms that adopt best practice in animal welfare and natural production methods.
Bidfood Scotland works with local fresh meat suppliers to source the highest quality products for our customers.
Our Scottish wild venison is all natural with no additives or hormones. We offer an affordable range of cuts from our supplier, Ardgay Game, who source 100% wild venison from Scottish glens, mountains and forests. Bidfood Scotland provide an extensive range of venison products that adhere to our strict quality standards, including: striploin, haunch steaks, mince, sausages, burgers and diced, mixed game.
We source a wide range of local Scottish fish, including our farmed salmon fillet and smoked salmon, to offer great quality at the best prices. We also work with Downies of Whitehill to provide fresh, sustainable and responsible sourced white fish. Downies of Whitehill are a fifth generation, family owned business who have been supplying fish for almost 150 years, selecting the best of catch at local markets each morning for our Bidfood Scotland customers, so you can be confident in the provenance of their products. Downies of Whitehill hold MSC chain of custody for North Sea haddock and all of their fish is single frozen, from whole fillets, at their BRC accredited site.
We continue to build our Scottish dairy range and ensure we offer quality and value for money. Our range includes yoghurts, free range eggs and a range of regional, artisan cheeses from Orkney, Arran and the Isle of Kintyre. We work with big brands like Rowan Glen and smaller brands like Rora yoghurts, bringing the best local dairy to our customers. For example, we work closely with our supplier partner Mull of Kintyre, who produce premium, Scottish cheddar at Campbeltown Creamery on the Kintyre Peninsula, made with milk from local dairy farms to ensure a distinctive flavour.
From sweet to savoury bakes, we offer a full range of traditional Scottish products to meet all dietary requirements: from lower salt, fat and sugar to gluten free and vegan.
We work closely with Cobbs Bakery to provide hand-baked, artisan cakes fresh from the village of Drumnadrochi, near Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. Cobbs’ traditional farmhouse recipes use normal, everyday ingredients to create tasty, homemade cakes with no artificial additives. Their cutting cakes are frozen immediately after baking to ensure maximum freshness and their pre-wrapped ambient range is perfect for adding local treats to any grab-and-go outlet.
