Savoury pastry recipe

    Ingredients

    Everyday Favourites plain flour 1kg
    Everyday Favourites cooking salt 15g
    Lard 450g
    Cold water 440ml

    Method

    1. Sieve the flour and salt together.
    2. Rub the shortening or lard through the flour to a crumble by hand or machine.
    3. Add the water, mix until a smooth paste is obtained.

    Note: Do not toughen the paste by over mixing.
