This weekend, local foodservice provider, Bidfood in Cannock, sponsored the annual Chateau Impney Hill Climb motorsport event. Bidfood acted as a key event partner to the competition, as well as hosting an exclusive Bidfood Tosti prosecco  bar at the event. This is the second year that the depot in Cannock sponsored this exciting event, but this year with an added twist. The Chateau Impney Hill Climb is one of The Midlands’  most thrilling events, that hosted over 19,000 attendees, witnessing more than 200 competitors strive to write their names in a new chapter of the Chateau’s motorsport history. The event consisted of the 200 plus drivers being split up into 18 classes over the weekend, all in for the chance of winning some great trophies, such as, ‘The Fastest Time Of The Day’ and ‘Fastest In Each Class’. Talking about the partnership, Steve Wood, Head of Free Trade Sales for Bidfood’s Midland’s West depot said: “We were very happy to continue our sponsorship deal with the Chateau Impney Hill Climb this year, and really enjoyed a fantastic day of great racing! “The day was a brilliant success, and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves! Following on from last year’s success, the event saw the addition of new exciting elements, including the introduction of fast Supercars, a Bidfood prosecco bar and a Jazz lounge sponsored by Bidfood, all to help boost the Chateau’s hospitality offering. Andrew Johns, Sales Director of the event, said: “We were delighted to have Bidfood working with us for a second year as one of our event partners.” “Bidfood have been an important partner for us not only with the Hill Climb but also with the Chateau Impney Hotel, we look forward to developing the relationship with them over the coming years.”
