Christmas vanilla-spiced mincemeat porridge with Lyle’s golden syrup®

For the porridge:
Rolled oats 40g (1 ½ oz)
Milk or milk & water 275ml (10floz)
For the topping:
Everyday Favourites mincemeat 1 heaped tbsp
Vanilla extract, optional ¼ tsp
Everyday Favourites ground cinnamon, optional ¼ level tsp
Double cream, lightly whipped 2 tbsps
Lyle’s golden syrup to serve

  1. Combine the oats and milk in a small non-stick pan. Bring to the boil, stirring continuously for 1 minute until nice and smooth.
  2. Leave to stand for 1 minute before pouring into a bowl.
  3. Mix the mincemeat, vanilla and cinnamon, if using, together in a small bowl then spoon over the porridge. Drizzle over the cream and some Lyle’s golden syrup to serve.
