Caramelised cranberry sauce with port and orange

    Caster sugar 200g
    Cranberries 1kg
    Everyday Favourites ground cinnamon 0.5g
    Sea salt 3g
    Port 250ml
    Merlot 200ml
    Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced 2


    1. In a large pan add the sugar and heat until caramelised
    2. Then add the cranberries, cinnamon, salt, port and red wine and cook until reduced by half
    3. Peel and slice the apples and add to the pan, continue to cook until ¾ of the liquid has reduced and the apples are cooked
    4. Allow to cool and place into clean jars to store
