Here at Bidfood, we’re always keeping our eyes on the latest trends, so that we can bring you products and recipes that keep your menus fresh and relevant for your customers. We know consumers look to flavours they know and love at Christmas time, but they’re also looking for new twists on these classics. One trending flavour we’re loving this year, that sees no sign of slowing down is ginger – a spice known for it’s warm, slightly sweet flavour. Frequently used in cooking and baking, it’s also a very versatile spice, which we’re now seeing show up in different types of food and drink you may not usually expect, such as drinks and ice cream. It even inspired our gingerbread village theme on this year’s brochure!

Our gingerbread village
Our concept for this years Christmas is inspired by one of the big flavour trends predicted for Christmas 2024 – Gingerbread. So much so, we’ve created our very own gingerbread village scene that features one of our iconic lorries delivering Christmas on a cold, dark snowy morning.

It took a total of 8 days to bake, hand ice and construct by 7 gingerbread experts.
