Bidvest Foodservice, the industry’s leading foodservice provider, has officially opened its new state-of-the-art Business Support Centre and depot on the Slough Trading Estate. To mark the occasion, and symbolise the business driving into a new chapter, Bidvest Foodservice employees joined forces to pull one of the company’s iconic 18 tonne lorries across the entrance of the building.
Based in a 117,000 sq. ft purpose-built facility, the new centre will increase capacity for growth in the Southern region, create additional opportunities for employment in the local area – for both new and existing employees – and improve the level of service the company offers its customers.
The facility has been designed for Bidvest Foodservice by SEGRO and KMG Partnership and combines the company’s Business Support Centre – housing central functions such as buying, marketing and the supply chain team – and the depot itself. This creates an opportunity for office teams to work more closely with the depot and get closer to the customer.
An ambitious design and construction project, the building features a purpose-designed presentation kitchen, a ‘Smart Store’ (a ground-breaking vending machine and mini store), a contemporary coffee lounge, a modern staff canteen and a commercial kitchen.

The official launch was followed by a family fun day for over 360 Bidvest Foodservice employees and their families at the site.
