- Sardine pâté:
- Kingfisher sardines in sunflower oil 2 cans
- Drained sardines, large bones removed 120g
- Everyday Favourites unsalted butter, softened 125g
- Everyday Favourites luxury full fat soft cheese 125g
- Lemon juice 3 tbsps
- Everyday Favourites cracked black peppercorn to season
- To garnish:
- Tomato, sliced to garnish
- Spring onion, chopped to garnish
- Wholegrain bread, sliced for 8 people

- Purée the sardines, butter, soft cheese, and lemon juice in a food processor until almost smooth. Add pepper and more lemon juice to taste.
- Divide the sardine mixture among eight small ramekins (or put into one large bowl) and level the surface.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- Serve chilled on wholegrain bread, garnished with tomato and spring onion.
