Brian Joffe to step down as executive chairman of Bidcorp

Brian Joffe, founder of the Bidvest Group and Bidcorp, an international foodservice group listed on the JSE South Africa and Bidfood’s ultimate parent company, has announced plans to step down as executive chairman of Bidcorp at the end of June. Bernard Berson, Bidcorp’s Chief Executive, will continue to lead the worldwide business. Brian Joffe will continue in the role of Non-Executive Chairman of Bidcorp. In the UK, Brian Joffe will step down as a director of BFS Group Limited (of which Bidfood is a trading division) to be replaced by David Cleasby (Bidcorp’s Chief Financial Officer). There will be no other changes to the Bidfood Leadership Team led by Bidfood’s Chief Executive, Andrew Selley.

• Bernard Berson has been Group Chief Executive and Executive Director of BID Corporation Limited since its creation in 2016, and previously was CEO: Foodservice/Executive Director of Bidvest Group Ltd, since 2003.
• David Cleasby has been Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of BID Corporation Limited since its creation in 2016, and previously served as Group Financial Director of Bidvest Group Ltd, since 2007.
