Read MoreSupply Chain is a vital central function within Bidfood, responsible for making sure the business have the right products in at the right time within all ranges (chilled, ambient, frozen and non-food). Our Supply Chain team support the business from all over the country with teams working in Lee Mill (near Plymouth) all the way up to Edinburgh.
We are looking for a new member to join our Replenishment team in Reading, this role is an essential part of the Supply Chain function and will be responsible for replenishing stock levels of ambient products into the business. Whilst this may sound simple, you’ll need to know your category inside out in order to balance how much stock is needed to meet customer demands whilst minimising stock loss as much as possible.
You’ll be responsible for the replenishment of a number of depots; you’ll be regularly liaising with external suppliers, hauliers and depot admin teams to make sure products are delivered into the business in line with business needs and on time. You will need to be results driven and be able to seek out commercial opportunities to exceed our stock income targets.
Customer requirements and business priorities will continually change so you’ll need to be flexible, be able to adapt quickly and be an expert within your category in order to manage seasonal activity and mobilise new National Account businesses.
You can expect a varied and challenging role in helping us to deliver our shared objective to be the continued supplier of choice by providing outstanding ‘first time’ stock availability for our customers. We are a people-centric business with a lot of experience within our Supply Chain teams who will help you build your knowledge quickly.
You will also be liaising with colleagues across Buying, Marketing, Depot teams and National Accounts, so being able to form good working relationships and communicate effectively will be essential.
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in stock management, planning and delivering results. You will have the ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, drive to succeed and a continual focus on service excellence.
