Depot General Manager – Bristol CQ

Are you looking for the next challenge? Do you have what it takes to be a Depot General Manager?

We’re looking to appoint a Depot General Manager based out of our Bristol depot. As DGM, you will take the lead and have primary accountability for maximising sales and profit targets, as well as optimising costs, processes and efficiencies to enable the delivery of the depot’s business targets.

This role will give you the opportunity to manage all aspects of the depot in line with the agreed business plan.

Your key accountabilities as DGM will be:

    • Delivering successful revenue, costs and profit targets
    • Managing the Sales effort
    • Leading and motivating the senior depot team in a positive, motivational and structured way
    • Drive the depot culture and people plan in line with the corporate vision, mission and values
    • Drive the corporate sustainability ethos
    • Manage all aspects of purchasing, stock management, and control to achieve agreed targets
    • Manage and deliver on all health and safety, site safety, environmental and security objectives and seek to make continual improvements to core standards, processes and practices

We’re looking for an experienced senior manager, with strong leadership skills to continue the fantastic contribution Catering Supplies makes to our Bidfood team.

You will have:

  • Operational Management experience in a similar scale distribution environment
  • Experience of profit and loss accountability
  • Experience of operating at a senior level within a complex, medium to large company
  • Evidence of driving change management
  • Experience in managing budgets and costs
  • Experience in continuous improvement
  • Experience in delivering exceptional service to benefit our customers
    Please note: You will be expected to travel as required by the role, which may include overnight stays.
