Customer service supervisor

About the role

This is a unique role to Bicester due to the Bicester Stock manager looking after 2 trading sites (Bicester & Slough) the working hours for this position will be 10:00 – 19:30 . The ideal candidate will have the following background

  • General Warehouse Management
  • Stock Control Management.

The stock supervisor will report to the stock manager and provide cover in his absence reporting any concerns to the senior team on site and liaising with the stock manager at all times.

You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of all the tasks within the stock team and the debrief function. As stated before this is a unique roll and we plan to have debrief reporting to stock control to ensure that all stock returned by drivers is handled correctly from a stock profile point of view.

Asset management is also more prevalent within our business and the debrief function records assets that our driver return e.g. cages, trays and straps.

This role supports the stock manager and in his absence you will need to focus on the daily tasks within his department.

  • P.I. checks, ghost stock, delist, returns, damages, quarantine issues along with credit note processes at the point of debrief ensuring that all issues are dealt with to a conclusion.

Effective team deployment and development is vital to ensure the stock / debrief operation provides the highest levels of operational efficiencies, service excellence and productivity within the business. Service to internal customers i.e. drivers is crucial, and thus optimisation of driver feedback and asset control must be at the forefront of the teams focus daily. Your team will be the main point of contact for all drivers returning to the depot and effective communication to the transport management team is key to highlight any performance concerns.

Your success will be measured in the achievement of these service standards, along with commercial objectives, covering cost / stock-loss control, product availability, credit reduction and a wide range of people factors such as training and development.

Positive attitude, commitment and a desire to drive improvements through the team is essential. You will be an excellent planner and communicator; skilled at working to both tight budgets and tight timescales.
