Assistant finance manager Cimandis

Bidvest Foodservice is recruiting a North West based Assistant Finance Manager in order to support the Cimandis Limited business. Cimandis is a £23m turnover business based on the Channel Islands with operations on 3 islands. The Cimandis Finance team provides financial, analytical, transaction and commercial support to both finance and non finance stakeholders.

Reporting into the Finance Manager and working in a team of 5 employees, the postholder is responsible for supporting the completion of effective financial & management accounting and reporting plus playing a vital role in driving the introduction of sales reporting and analysis.  These key responsibilities will contribute actively towards the growth agenda of the business.

Working within strict deadlines, the key components of the role include:

  • Completion to review stage of accurate period end accounts (P&L and balance sheet)
  • Delivery of value adding commercial information with regular reporting at senior and middle management level throughout the company
  • The completion of balance sheet, supplier & customer statement reconciliations
  • Responsibility for the weekly supplier payment run
  • Production and maintenance of KPIs that provide visibility of trading customer performance
  • Work closely with sales teams supporting the creation of new business tenders and development of customer trading packs
  • Support finance manager with ad-hoc tasks

To be successful in this role;

  • Minimum part qualified CIMA/ACCA
  • 12months experience in a financial environment
  • The ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance staff
  • Commercially astute with strong technical, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • There is a business travel need with this role, You will be expected to visit the channel islands on at least one occasion per period
  • You need to be fully conversant with Microsoft Office 2010 applications (Excel, Word and Powerpoint) to an advanced level
