Welsh rarebit hotdog

Hotdogs 10
Everyday Favourites butter 125g
Everyday Favourites plain flour 125g
Beer, warm 625ml
Everyday Favourites mature white Cheddar 625g
Everyday Favourties English mustard 5 tsp
Worcestershire sauce 5 tsp
Brioche hot dog rolls 10


  1. Cook hotdogs and keep warm
  2. In a small saucepan melt the butter and make a roux with the flour. Cook for a couple of minutes, stirring to prevent the roux from burning.
  3. Stir in the warm beer little at a time, until you have a thick but smooth sauce.
  4. Add the grated cheese and stir until melted and you should now have a thick paste
  5. Mix in the mustard and Worcestershire sauce and season well with black pepper
  6. Add the hotdog to the bun and top with cheese mixture
  7. Place under the grill until cheese starts to bubble and lightly brown
