Savoury pastry recipe

Ingredients

  • Everyday Favourites plain flour 1kg
  • Everyday Favourites cooking salt 15g
  • Lard 450g
  • Cold water 440ml

Method

  1. Sieve the flour and salt together.
  2. Rub the shortening or lard through the flour to a crumble by hand or machine.
  3. Add the water, mix until a smooth paste is obtained.
Note: Do not toughen the paste by over mixing.
