Give a second life to yesterday's pains au chocolat by creating a delicious pecan-based brownie recipe for a gourmet experience!

Ingredients

  • Sugar 260g
  • Stale pains au chocolat 300g
  • Everyday Favourites salted butter 120g
  • Dark chocolate 150g
  • Everyday Favourites free range eggs 150g
  • Pecan nuts 100g

Method

  1. Whisk the sugar and pains au chocolat in a mixer until the mixture becomes sandy in texture.
  2. Melt the butter.
  3. When it starts to boil, pour over the chocolate and mix well.
  4. Add the eggs, mix.
  5. Pour over the pain chocolat/sugar mixture and combine.
  6. Add the pecans, mix.
  7. Pour into a 20 cm square mould.
  8. Bake for 18 minutes at 170°C.
  9. Leave to cool for 20 minutes before cutting.
