Lot of customers don’t wait until December to start to feel festive. Christmas coffees and festive flavours on menus start to appear in the autumn, and customers love it. One of the big opportunities to take advantage of this is in foodservice is on-the-go or takeaway products. Anyone with a takeaway offering could start to offer festive flavours at the end of October, beginning of November, around Halloween and Bonfire night.
Let’s start with Christmas coffees and hot drinks. The festive season is probably the time when most customers are willing to indulge in a more extravagant hot drink, think decadent hot chocolate and festive flavoured coffees, topped with whipped cream. And for an operator, this means you can charge a premium.
