Warehouse Trainer (days) – Wakefield

A bit about the role

You will be supporting both the day to day operation and delivering the sites long term aim of improving the capability of the workforce and managing the induction process of new team members. You will also ensure alongside the nightshift trainer that all training is planned and delivered within the required timeframes. You will work in partnership with our Site Excellence Manager to provide regular updates and plans to mitigate any training risks.

Your main customer will be the warehouse operations team; however you will support other departments with training needs when required. It is therefore essential that you are able to build rapport amongst colleagues and have an enthusiastic approach to training.

You will be training colleagues on Manual Handling Equipment including Reach, PPT, LLOP and Counter Balance trucks. So a current instructor’s licence would be an advantage. Ideally you will hold a current Reach truck licence with six months experience as this is a pre requisite for the 10 day FLT instructor’s course. You will be provided with training to teach Manual Handling and Basic Food Hygiene.

You will also as part of your role be responsible for first aid replenishment, pest control along side the Site Excellence Manager. Throughout all elements of your role you will ensure all basic audit requirements are met.

A bit about you

Ideally, you will have food warehousing and distribution experience but this is not essential, we are more interested in candidates who are enthusiastic and committed and demonstrate that they have an accurate and methodical approach to their work.

You will be required to carry out manual handling up to 25 kilogrammes.
