As Telesales Manager you will have the full responsibility for managing the telesales department, your priorities will be to improve and maximise sales opportunities and to ensure the maintenance of high customer service standards.
You will manage the performance of your staff to ensure that they meet expected sales targets. You will identify any training and development needs your staff may have and work closely with relevant internal and external training providers to ensure these needs are met. You will liaise with suppliers to keep up to date on promotional offers, including arranging seasonal sales activity and also manage their depot visits. You will be a key member of the depot management team and be expected to build effective relationships within the field sales team and depot operations team.
You will have experience in a sales centre role and be comfortable using a computer based ordering system. You will have proven experience in managing and motivating staff to achieve set standards and targets. You should have a good commercial awareness. You should have experience of working in a pressurised and challenging environment. You will need to be flexible in your approach, managing your team to ensure that all customer needs are met in the hours of the telesales operation by organising relevant cover and staffing levels. Excellent communication skills and presentation skills are essential for this role.
