The purpose of your role is to win and open new business and to grow the sales and cash margin and gain distribution for new business pillars for the UDM cost and profit sectors for Bidfood. You will achieve this through understanding and influencing what effective food solutions would be for our customers in these channels with real focus on schools, healthcare, accommodation and leisure sites working with our consortia partners such as Beacon, Pelican, Regency , IPA and pub retailers such as Punch. To meet and exceed your targets you will work with the head of sales, field sales managers, Business Managers, Telesales Executives and non-food specialists in the southern region to identify the potential opportunities and deliver a business plan that achieves results. You will also work closely with Carrie Howes, our existing and experienced Sales Development Manager for the Chepstow depot
You will be required to ensure all sales teams understand the sector development terms and opportunities. You will need to be proactive and work with the Business Managers and Telesales in order to generate impact and influence through use of our specialist sector knowledge to develop their awareness and understanding of the opportunities. You will also be expected to liaise with regional account managers and purchasing teams to open new accounts and identify and deliver against potential.
As part of your role you will also need to meet with your local field sales manager to discuss sales activation, performance and targets, conduct business planning and gain agreement on actions to deliver your Key Performance Indicators.
In addition through your role you are responsible for providing accurate and timely information and feedback to management and other business areas to ensure Bidfood can provide a continued level of service to its customers and utilise opportunities for growth.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent selling skills, working in an environment where you have regularly met or exceeded sales targets. To succeed in this role you will need strong experience of working in the same or a similar sectors as well as a good understanding of the foodservice industry. Possessing Strong customer skills, a flexible approach to your work and the ability to work remotely as part of a mobile team are required.
You need to be located within 1hours drive of Bristol.
