Premier Foods – Bisto Together Project
Premier Foods is proud to be launching a new initiative for the foodservice sector which will aim to bring local communities together by encouraging them to come and eat together.
The ‘Bisto Together Project’ will help drive community spirit and tackle loneliness by connecting people of all generations and backgrounds over the dining table and follows alarming government research which reveals that 44% of the UK has felt lonely at some point* in their lives.
The quest of ‘bringing people together’ sits at the heart of the Bisto brand and so we are delighted to be bringing this value to life within the foodservice sector. With loneliness figures on the rise, we need to work together as an industry and take action now so that we can collectively help make a difference.
‘The Bisto Together project’ will run across pubs, schools and care homes within the UK. Encouraging caterers and chefs to invite their local community groups and neighbours to come and all eat together. Caterers and chefs will have access to a whole host of materials online which will provide them with the tools to put on a ‘Bisto Community Table’ at their site via the Premier Foods foodservice website.
To support the campaign, those schools, care homes and pubs which register online and commit to hosting a ‘Bisto Community Table’, will receive free samples of Bisto gravy to help on the day. In addition, the first 50 schools, care homes and pubs to register online will also receive a kit that contains everything from table talkers, ways to help get conversations started, to posters to help promote the initiative and encourage the local community to get involved.
