WMS Co-ordinator – Reading RDC

We’re a leading wholesale food distributor covering the whole of the UK, the preferred supply partner for over 60,000 customers and our business is still growing.

The Reading NDC supply product to all Multi Temperature, Frozen sites and CD division on a weekly basis and spoke depots daily (average pick 12k items H&S 15K NCS/IBT). Stock holding of circa 6,943 lines with approximately £6m in value housed in a 69,000 sq ft high bay warehouse. The role is an essential part of the operation receiving the right products into the depot accurately and timely.

You will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the WMS including outstanding dockets, lane checks, bulk fixtures and sequences, bulk product maintenance, bulk adjustments; goods received bulk allocation, bulk detail and contingency plans. You will be required to ensure that Warehouse Staff operate in an effective and efficient manner with regards to the WMS. Staff are managed and briefed to ensure they are aware of and adhere to Company policies and procedures, continually developed in regards to WMS, support and advice is provided colleagues using ‘First for Service’ principles and new staff are inducted correctly.

Additionally you will be required to implement and manage change effectively. The role will also require you to develop and enhance controls, procedures and systems within the WMS. You will be required to adopt a flexible approach to working shifts, which may include weekends and bank holidays to deliver an efficient and effective service to Customers (Depots) in line with our operational requirements.

This role requires a self-starter, forward thinking and a strong communicator (across all departments and depots) with a good understanding of Microsoft Windows based applications and an above average knowledge of Excel. Extensive warehouse operations experience is essential, with the ability to work to strict targets. You must be a good team player who will actively support our company values and goals.
