WMS Administrator – Reading Rdc

We’ve got an exciting opportunity in our Reading depot for a Warehouse Management System (WMS) Administrator. The Reading depot supply products to the other Bidfood depots across the country on a weekly basis; our 69,000 sq ft warehouse holds approximately 6,943 stock lines with approximately £6m in value. The role is an essential part of the operation to ensure the depot receives the right products at the right time.

Your role as WMS Administrator will be to assist in the daily maintenance of the warehouse management system including outstanding dockets, lane checks, bulk fixtures and sequences, bulk product maintenance, bulk adjustments, goods received bulk allocation, bulk detail and contingency plans. Additionally you will be helping to ensure that the warehouse team work in an effective and efficient manner with regards to the warehouse management system.

The role will also require you to assist in developing and enhancing controls, procedures and systems within the WMS. You will be required to adopt a flexible approach to working shifts, which may include weekends and bank holidays to deliver an efficient and effective service to our customers (Bidfood depots), in line with our operational requirements. You will be on a 5 out of 7 days working pattern.

This role requires strong communication skills with a good understanding of Microsoft Windows based applications and an above average knowledge of Excel. Warehouse operations experience is essential and you should have experience of working to strict targets. You must be a good team player who will actively support our company values and goals.
