Warehouse Team Leader Mid-Shift – Bicester

This warehouse team leader role will support the transport debrief supervisor and will be the link between transport and warehouse and will assist in the management of drivers returning to the depot via debrief and ensuring that we are actively managing our asset returns and ensuring that each and every driver receives a full and inclusive debrief experience. This new shift and role will give us the flexibility to grow and service our customers in the most efficient and effective way possible to deliver service excellence to our customers.

The team leader will assist in the supervision of a fully skilled warehouse afternoon shift that will make use of reach trucks for replenishment, LLOP’s for voice picking when we pick earlier to increase our depots capacity.

This team leader will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all goods are picked, numbered, stocked correctly on cages and loaded
  • Ensure company assets in the warehouse (stock, cages, pallets etc.) are controlled and accounted for at all times in order to keep costs down
  • Employee and equipment deployment to maximise total shift efficiency, i.e. by liaison with other supervisors to ensure no department falls behind schedule
  • Review and follow through actions for credit notes
  • Ensuring that all equipment is maintained to company standards and all damages are recorded and stored according to damage procedure

You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills as the role will involve liaising other depots, departments and colleagues to resolve any operational issues. A ‘can do’ attitude is a must and the ability to work under pressure. It would be advantageous to be competent in excel and reporting.

You will be required to be flexible within your role and may be required to undertake other duties from time to time.
