The role at Wakefield is different from any within the Bidfood network and you will be responsible for the day to day management of the days warehouse operation including but not exclusive to Goods in, put away, replenishment, order picking for the spoke depots and managing the warehouse side of the backhaul operation.

Effective team deployment and development is vital to this role to ensure the warehouse operation provides the highest levels of operational efficiencies, service excellence and productivity within the business. You’ll be capable of recruiting and inducting skilled and motivated people into our business and will lead and engage teams to be successful.

You will work closely with your customer which is the nights team to set the site up for success. You will need to influence and work closely with the stock department and the SEM if you wish to succeed long term.

You will need to be able to adapt to new challenges as the needs of the customer always comes first and as we develop our service offering you will need to adapt the way your team works.

Analytical problem solving skills are a must as you will be managing the site with the highest stock holding in terms of sku’s in the business and it is the only site which is a hub for both ambient and frozen.
