Warehouse Operative Nights – Oban

The depot has a highly efficient Warehouse and as part of the team, you will fill an essential role in helping us towards the depot goals delivering the right products to our customers on time.

You will be picking food and non-food products to targets and adhering to all relevant food hygiene and Health & Safety legislation to ensure our customers orders are processed safely, accurately and in a timely manner. Other duties will include checking, assembling and loading products on to our vehicles.

As part of the role you will be required to support other members of your team with general warehouse duties that will include;

  • Assembling customers order within a multi-temperature warehouse.
  • Using MHE to complete order assembly and replenishment activities.
  • Collation of customer’s orders and assisting loading/unloading vehicles.
  • Checking, assembling and loading products on to our vehicles.
  • Achieving the required productivity targets, whilst adhering to all company standards & legislation.
  • Any other reasonable management request.

Your role will involve manual labour so you will need to be able to lift heavy objects and work in ambient, chilled & frozen warehouse environments.

A bit about you

A fork lift truck license would be desirable, but not essential and you will be used to working to targets and you have an accurate and methodical approach to you work. You will be a good team player who supports our company values. Knowledge of Food Hygiene and experience in a similar role are desirable but not essential as training will be given.

You will be flexible, reliable and trustworthy. You will be a team player, and be flexible in supporting your colleagues and managers to achieve targets and objectives. All PPE will be provided to the successful candidate. This role will include working on some Friday or Sunday evenings depending on business requirements.

Whilst the role is initially seasonal, as in previous years, there may be an opportunity for the successful applicant to progress to a full time role within the depot.
