Warehouse Manager – Bradford

Swithenbank is part of the Bidfood group, it is a great place to work and we have a permanent opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to become part of the warehouse department in our Bradford depot.

Swithenbank Bradford will deliver a complete fresh solution to customers of all sizes throughout its nominated area, through a fleet of LGV’s. Your performance will be in line with agreed company KPIs including operating costs, overall profit and loss, service standards and customer retention.

A bit about the role

Reporting into the HOO, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the tasks within the Mid/Night operation within the Warehouse. You will be responsible for the management and development of your shifts, ensuring that all departmental and depot targets are achieved or exceeded.

Effective team deployment and development is vital to ensure the warehouse operation provides the highest levels of operational efficiencies, service excellence and productivity within the business. You’ll be capable of leading, coaching and developing your staff to achieve a number KPI’s ranging from customer service level through to managing costs.

All warehouse assets need to be closely controlled to keep costs to a minimum and you will work closely with operations and central colleagues to ensure internal and external service standards are achieved.

Your success will be measured in the achievement of these service standards, as well as commercial objectives covering cost and stock-loss control, product availability, credit reduction and a wide range of people factors such as training and attendance.

You will need to be up to date and compliant with all health & safety and food hygiene legislation. You will have a track record of managing teams of up to 100 people and a proven history of exceeding KPI’s. You will be able to prioritise your load work to ensure that all tasks are achieved to the highest of standards, whilst also supporting other departmental managers within the depot and the wider business as required.
