At Bidfood, we recognise that the quality of our transport teams is instrumental to our success.

Your primary task will be to make sure that all of our delivery vehicles are clean, both inside and out, to comply with food safety standards, hygiene regulations and that they are looking their best, promoting the image of the business as they travel around the country.

You will also need to maintain cleaning records, reporting to the Compliance Supervisor and Transport Manager.

Effective teamwork within the transport department will be key to ensuring the vehicles are cleaned and records kept. You will also need to deal with drivers on a daily basis to make sure that any spillages in vehicles are dealt with in a timely manner.

As the role requires a LGV Cat C licence (HGV2), there will also, on occasion be the need to drive our vehicles to assist other drivers making deliveries and to our vehicle service centre for essential maintenance. There will also be the opportunity to drive a trunk vehicle for collections at other depots. Pay will be adjusted accordingly if this work is carried out.

Shift pattern will be primarily Tues-Fri 12:00 – 20:00, Sat 09:00-17:00, after initial induction and training although contracted hours may change due to business needs, therefore a flexible approach to work is required.
