Multi Drop Driver – Worthing

Our Drivers make our customers’ lives easier.

We return the favour.

This is a role for Drivers who enjoy meeting people – and delivering a service that makes their customers’ lives easier. Whilst you’re caring for our customers, we’ll be caring for you. We’ll give you supportive, flexible managers, who understand your role, and what you need from them, as well as great tech and equipment. You’ll also be home every night, and able to work the majority of your shifts Monday to Friday, with Saturday working on a rota basis. We’re proud of the way we treat our drivers – from the training we give, to the fact that during the pandemic we’ve kept our driving teams together. Join today and be part of our team of drivers who are making history, helping to rebuild the nation and the hospitality sector.

The role

You will be contracted any 5 from 7 days a week, but mainly working shifts between Monday to Saturday starting between 05:00 & 06:00. You’ll be delivering great food and other catering products to a huge range of customers across your region. From restaurants and pubs, to schools, care homes and hospitals. Our vehicles are all kitted out with the latest tech, including telematics, but you’ll have to use plenty of initiative to find the drop off points. Once there, you’ll be delivering the goods straight to the chefs and managers who make the orders – so building up a good rapport with them is important. You’ll also be the one transferring the goods from your lorry to the customer. Some orders can be large, so it’s a job with a real physical element. Health and safety is our top priority and so we will ensure you’ll have all the latest training and PPE you will need to carry out these responsibilities safely.

What you’ll need

You’ll be efficient and organised, you need to enjoy the challenge of being given a lorry full of goods and getting it to the right people at the right time. Personality is key. You’ll interact with the customers at every drop off – so you’ll need to enjoy meeting them, and doing all you can to make their life easier. In addition, you need to able to move cages and pallets that can be heavy.

Qualifications-wise, you need a category C LGV Licence. You’ll also have your digital tachograph driver card and your Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). We’ll pay for ongoing CPC development once employed to help you keep these qualifications up to date.

Benefits

4%/4% matched pension scheme rising to 6%/6% with service, 33 days holiday per annum (inclusive of public holidays), funded healthcare cash plan for you and your family, digital GP, life assurance, personal accident scheme, employee discounts, employee helpline and counselling, free onsite parking.
