Transport coordinator and legal compliance – Basingstoke

  • You’ll ensure the depots fleet is legally compliant, all vehicles meet their service and MOT dates, and all drivers are legally compliant in terms of licence checks, infringements, driving hours and accidents.
  • You’ll ensure effective teamwork within the transport department and support driver training and inductions to ensure all transport employees are aware of the compliance required of performance.
  • You will be an excellent communicator and assist in update briefings along with keeping all compliance noticeboards up to date.
  • You’ll be responsible for transport audits showing green, all driver hours remaining within the working time directive and provide daily stats on infringement rates.
  • You’ll maintain all Company commercial vehicles, to a high standard and make sure all relevant records are maintained in order to conform to legislation as well as maintaining all documentation relating to tachographs and driver hours.

To be successful in this role you’ll have very strong compliance experience and a good level of communication. A team player is essential for this role with the ability to build strong relationships with other departments.

To succeed in this role it is desirable that you will be a holder of the CPC qualification and essential that you have experience in a fast-moving food distribution environment, you will also have good computer literacy skills and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the business.
