We have an opportunity within our highly efficient Transport department and as part of our team you’ll fill an essential role in helping us achieve our targets by delivering the right products to our customers on time.
You’ll carry out administrative and reporting duties to help the depot meet its legislative and corporate governance requirements with effective handling of calls/emails to provide administrative support within the department. You’ll be responsible for the Driver Daily Report (DD1) forms are completed accurately and reviewing the drivers’ credits and examining their DD1 form , review driver paperwork to ensure correct completion and any anomalies are challenged i.e. damages, shortages etc. You’ll be expected to communicate and resolve any concerns, incorrect/ incomplete or lost paperwork with the drivers or escalate to the Supervisor.
Ensuring all hub returns are processed correctly and in a timely manner as well as any driver accidents are reported by the driver and you will make the relevant Supervisor aware, to ensure the matter is logged and investigated. Compliance to Tachograph legislation and company standards and responsible for downloading the drivers’ Digicard data daily to ensure the Supervisors can highlight any discrepancies and investigate accordingly.
You’ll support the transport supervisors/manager in any tasks that are necessary to support the effective running of the transport department.
To be successful in this role you will have good communication and organisation skills (both written and verbal), strong IT skills, in particular Excel spreadsheet couple with a strong attention to detail.
