Telesales & Customer Service Team Leader – Swithenbank, Bradford

The Telesales and Customer Service team form an essential part of the Bradford Depot by ensuring customer orders are taken in an efficient and professional manner meeting crucial order deadlines. This is a national call centre, which is slightly different from most other Telesales and Customer Service teams within Bidfood; this means you will handle calls and orders for Bradford, Hoddesdon and some other National Customers of Bidfood; you will be required to understand all systems worked on by the team ensuring order deadlines are always met and delivering the highest level of customer service to our Customers.

You will support the Telesales & Customer Service Manager in all aspects of the teams operations and your main priorities will be to improve sales and to ensure the maintenance of high customer service standards. You will be required to achieve set sales and customer service targets successfully and to meet the demands of a customer service driven environment.

As a key member of the management team a large part of your role will be to ensure the smooth running of the department. You will play a part in the ongoing development of the team in the form of coaching sessions and remote call monitoring. You will be expected to motivate, train and coach the team to ensure they have the required skills to be successful in all aspects of their role.

You will have experience in a call centre role and environment and be comfortable using a computer based ordering system. You must be confident using Microsoft office in particular the use of Excel to analyse customer service data, also the ability to use Word and Outlook to communicate in writing both internally & externally at all levels.

In addition you must be able to demonstrate you have initiative and good people management skill with the ability to work in a pressurised and challenging environment.

You will need to respond positively to targets and be able to work well with all individuals within the team. Due to a 7 day operation it is essential for you to be flexible, have good communication skills and make good commercial decisions when under pressure.
