Telesales Manager (Urban Foods) – Paddock Wood

An exciting opportunity to manage our existing telesales team within an exciting new and growing business.

You will be responsible for helping your team reach their targets and ensuring all customer queries are effectively and efficiently dealt with. You will also manage any quality complaints from customers and follow the correct processes for dealing with this, as well as organising any collection notes for customers.

You will work closely alongside the admin and transport departments where areas of the business cross over departments to ensure that our customers are always getting great customer service. You would help your team build their call schedules whilst also ensuring any calls of your own are kept up to date.

A bit about the role

The telesales team forms an essential part of our business by ensuring customer orders are taken in an efficient and professional manner. It will be your job to ensure this is run effectively. You will be responsible for making outbound calls and dealing with incoming calls to take our customers’ normal orders as well as guiding the Telesales Executives to do the same.

You will be required to manage your own customer base of existing customers and through careful analysis of on screen data and account statistics, you will help every customer to buy across our product range, selling in new lines, link and gap selling, and maximising customer spend. You will monitor the customer groups per teleseller to make sure they are continuing to grow their area effectively.

We require you to have a key mix of skills and be able to deploy them effectively when needed and in accordance with changing customer demands. Firstly you will need good experience of solving a variety of customer problems, plus an understanding of sales techniques that will enable you to maximise sales opportunities as they arrive. As well as good management skills and working well under pressure in a busy environment.

Finally, you’ll bring the dexterity and organisation needed to effectively and accurately key orders at speed.

You will be a strong and natural communicator and team player; used to working in a busy and challenging environment. You will be motivated, organised, flexible and driven to achieve results whilst building effective working relationships over the telephone and within the team.
