Stock Control Assistant – Liverpool

We are seeking a Stock Control Assistant to assist the Stock Control Manager in ensuring that the stock levels & returns held at the depot are all checked within the company standards.

You will be working in a chilled environment and dealing with the daily returns from the drivers, back to stocks, damages and full stock checks on all items, and credit investigations/coding also carrying out date checks to establish if stock is being rotated correctly. You will be responsible for fully investigating any errors found and reporting those to the Stock Control Manager. You will check pick locations in order to ensure that products are those defined on the stock labels, highlighting goods incorrectly located or identified in bulk locations.

You will need to ensure that the warehouse complies with the company health and safety policy, supporting accreditation processes and complying with all verbal and written instructions in matter pertaining to health and safety.

To be successful in this role you will have similar experience of working within a stock control department, particularly within the fast-moving food distribution industry. You will ideally possess a relevant professional qualification. You will need a detailed understanding of stock control systems, and strong analytical and problem solving skills. You will need to be a confident IT user, with excellent business administration skills.

You will be someone who has a flexible approach team player able who work of their own initiative with good communication both oral and written and pc literate and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy when working to tight deadlines and under pressure.
