Specialist & Change Administrator – Wakefield or Manchester

Can you take the initiative? Are you enthusiastic about Learning & Development? Are you highly organised with excellent attention to detail? Most of all can you deliver Service Excellence? If so this exciting opportunity to join our team of talented L&D professionals might be just what you’re looking for…

It’s an exciting time to join the L&D team as we embark on a number of key projects to deliver development programmes, develop talent and roll out our apprenticeship scheme to the business, not just within Bidfood but also for our sister companies.

The purpose of the Specialist & Change admin role is to provide administrative and organisational support to all the specialist roles within the Learning and Talent Development team. You will help to co-ordinate activity for the individual managers within the team and take responsibility for all the processes that support the delivery of our various development programmes. Working with all members of the team including members of the wider P&S team and reporting to the Learning and Development manager for Service Excellence you will also support the Head of Learning and Talent Development with various administrative tasks. In the future this role may move into supporting the team with basic training, so ideal for anyone who wants to make a career in this area.

You will need to be particularly competent with all Microsoft Office applications particularly Outlook, Word and Excel. You will also need to be comfortable working with various systems and Web based accounts as you will be involved in the administration of our Digital Apprenticeship account, Insights, and One Source to name a few, a working knowledge of Survey Monkey would also be useful but not essential.

The co-ordination of all this activity calls for someone who can really demonstrate our values:

    • Care: Planning and preparing development events, working to deadlines, being well organised with a high level of detail. Helping and supporting our internal customers.
    • Share: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, questioning and sharing ideas to improve our processes and make life easier for our customers.
    • Dare: Challenging inefficiencies and costs, being pro-active and curious with a desire to pursue a rewarding career in L&D.

We also want you to get involved in our team meetings and even some of our events so there will be a need for occasional travel requiring a current driving licence.

Benefits

Pension, 25 days holiday pa, healthcare cash plan, childcare vouchers, personal accident scheme, employee discounts
