Site Excellence Manager – Salisbury

We have a permanent opportunity for a Site Excellence Manager to provide support to the Depot Management team.

Qualities

You will be capable of communicating and delivering information in various formats, to all levels within our business structure, in a confident manner.

An interest in the Environment and sustainability issues will be a key element within the role.

You will need to possess a working knowledge of PC skills in the main Microsoft Packages – PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. Ideally you would have an advanced understanding.

A bit about the role

As a Site Excellence Manager you will work as part of the Depot management team. Which would include the facilities management and the hygiene team within the site.

You will be responsible for implementing , administering and enforcing all health and safety, food safety and environmental policies, procedures and activities required for the depot to operate in accordance with the laws that govern both depot compliance and quality standards.

You’ll be responsible for maintenance of health and safety, environmental and food safety depot systems as described in the process, standard and ‘how to’ documentation on ‘Process Library’ – our guide to company processes. You will ensure depot facilities are legal and insurance compliant, in co-ordination with the depot management team and our property management services team.

You’ll deliver excellent customer service and operational standards at all times through maintaining a safe and secure environment, ensuring that all regulations are being followed.

Ideally the suitable candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • IOSH – Managing Safely v3.1 (or equivalent)
  • HACCP qualification
  • Internal auditing qualification

To be successful in your application you will need to be proactive and confident with a proven track record of strong administration, organisation and prioritisation skills. You will need to demonstrate a professional and assertive communication style, and that you are able to influence your peers and members of the management team, as well as all other levels of the business.

You will care about your role and the impact it has on the wider team’s day to day activities, a level of flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business, and sometimes you will need to dare to use your initiative and decision-making skills to solve problems “on the run” or to tight deadlines.

You’ll have a good eye for detail and self-confidence, and it goes without saying that you will need a very strong sense of process and procedure.
