Worthing depot is part of the Southern region of Bidfood and the warehouse team forms an essential part of the depot in delivering excellent customer service to both Freetrade and National customers.

A bit about the role

As a Shunter you will be working a nightshift Sunday to Thursdays, on a 5 out of 7 days contract, working 40 hours per week.

Your responsibilities will include the loading and unloading of Company vehicles, you will therefore have the ability to drive Company vehicles on and off loading bays in a safe manner, complying with company policies and driving legislation.

You will also cover our trunk collections from hub depots when and if required.
You may be required to cover holidays as and when required, as well as all other duties required by your line manager.

To be successful in this role you will require a driving qualification of LGV Class C and you should be used to working a night shift, bank holidays and working to set of performance measures in a multi temperature environment. You will have an accurate, methodical and flexible approach to your responsibilities and be a good team player who supports our Company values, processes and standards with a positive attitude and a good attendance record.

Knowledge of Food Hygiene, Health and Safety procedures and experience in a similar role are desirable but not essential. You may be required to attend training or meetings outside of your normal hours from time to time.
