Quality assurance supervisor

As part of our team you will fill an essential role in helping us towards the depot goals delivering the good quality products to our customers.

A bit about the role

Job purpose;

  • To ensure the maintenance of fresh produce quality and act as deputy to the Quality Assurance Manager in their absence

Accountabilities – includes, but not limited to;

  • Ensure the quality and safety of SWB products on a day to day basis
  • Work with customer care team(s) to monitor customer complaints and liaise with suppliers, internal and external customers
  • Ensure equipment calibration (internal & external) is up to date
  • Attend internal service circle and departmental meetings as required
  • Conduct first party audits (e.g. GMP) and address raised non-conformances to ensure compliance to applicable regulations
  • Support 2nd and 3rd party audits preparation
  • Adheres to standard procedures and consult with manager on exceptions

Measures & Key Performance Indicators;

  • Complaint levels to remain below agreed KPI set at yearly review
  • Full reserve and rejection levels to remain below agreed KPI set at yearly review
  • Trackers and schedules to be fully maintained and up to date.

Ideally, you will have food warehousing and distribution experience and you must be fit and healthy as the role requires you to be able to lift objects up to 20 kilogrammes.

Suitable qualifications such as Food Safety, HACCP and auditing skills will be a distinct advantage although training will be available for the successful candidate.
