QHSE Assistant – Manchester

What does this mean for you?

We have an opportunity within our QHSE department at our Manchester depot, and as part of our team you’ll fill an essential role for assisting in ensuring the depot compliance to the company policies and procedures.

A bit about the role

  • To co-ordinate all audit and facility maintenance activity within the depot to company standards.
  • Ensuring all staff inductions and training in these areas (health and safety etc) are up to date and audit compliant.
  • To ensure 100% compliance to internal and external site audit standards such as BRC, ISO 14001, environmental management system, CASA, pest control etc.
  • To undertake the role of site health and safety officer, with responsibility for fire safety, food safety, pest control and environmental training and standards.
  • To organise and coordinate the training for the depot within the areas above, and ensuring individual training records are up to date and maintained.
  • To monitor standards and audit requirements to ensure full compliance, as well as highlighting areas of non-compliance to the site excellence manager.
  • To demonstrate a proactive, problem solving and investigatory approach to resolve any areas of non-compliance.

A bit about you

To be success full in this role you will have similar experience of working within a health & safety or compliance role. You will ideally possess a NEBOSH general certificate, HACCP level 3 and Level 3 auditing & inspection.

You will need to be a confident IT user, with excellent business administration skills. You will be someone with good business administration skills. You will be someone with food communication and organisation skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy when working to tight deadlines and under pressure.
