Bidfood is a leading wholesale food distributor and the preferred supplier for over 60,000 customers across the UK, ranging from pubs to schools, from restaurants to care homes and everything in between.
Bidfood has over £42 million of commercial estate which is managed through the Non-Inventory Procurement and Property department. Due to an increase in projects, we have the need for a Property Assistant to join the team on a temporary basis, based out of our Nottingham depot. Initially a temporary role for a six month period, there may be the opportunity for it to become permanent.
Reporting in to the Head of Property, you will support the team on major build projects as well as providing support with the day to day management of the property portfolio, ensuring we meet our obligations as tenants as well as meeting the needs of the business. You will also provide support with energy & sustainability initiatives including data management and reporting for the various energy compliance schemes applicable to Bidfood.
Experience in this area is not necessary, we are more interested in candidates who are enthusiastic and committed and demonstrate that they have an accurate and detailed approach to their work.
You will have good analytical capabilities preferably with strong excel skills along with good organisation and administration skills. Good attention to detail is essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team, are essential to performing this role. You will be required to work to all Bidfood processes, whilst ensuring company confidentiality at all times.
A full driving licence is a prerequisite as there will be a requirement for travel throughout the country at different times, plus overnight stays as and when required.
