You would be part of a creative, cohesive Corporate Marketing team responsible for protecting and promoting our reputation as the best foodservice provider through external communications.

We are looking for someone who possesses the right blend of passion, experience and skill to plan and execute a communications strategy that aligns with our business’ strategic priorities, ensure the right messages and stories are told on the right platforms, at the right times, to the right audiences, and who can help to build a strong brand that really connects with customers and employees.

This role has a great opportunity to work with stakeholders at all levels and across many teams in our business, with key editors and journalists right across the foodservice industry and of course to work hand-in-glove with our PR agency.

You will be managing our PR agency day to day on press office, as well as PR campaigns and seasonal launches to the media. You’ll develop an annual PR plan, speaker plan, awards plan and scope the PR budget which you’ll manage day to day, as well as tracking our progress on coverage and against campaign KPIs. You’ll need to build great relationship with trade journalists and editors, and across our business to find stories that bring to life our proposition and as the main contact for issues and crisis communications. You’ll also need to manage the PR budget and track our progress through coverage and targets.

What do you need to be successful?

This role will require you to use your creative flair, great communication, sound judgment and an eye for detail. You’ll need to have the ability to think strategically and plan effectively. Being able to think on your feet, prioritise and multi-task is an also absolute must. Writing is a key element of this role, and the ability to review and to create compelling and concise content for press releases, features and opinion pieces. Line management experience would also be an advantage. If you want to take real ownership, make your own mark in a challenging and inspiring industry then get in touch with us, we’d love to hear from you.

Just a few extra things… 3 to 5 years’ experience in PR (ideally with some B2B and food exposure) and corporate/marketing external comms, a degree in marketing communications or similar subject and a full driving license. You must also be eligible to work in the UK.
