PI Stock Control Clerk – Hoddesdon

Hoddesdon depot is the southern hub for chilled and produce and has an efficient warehouse, as part of the team you will fill an essential role in helping us towards the depot’s goal of delivering the right products to our customers on time.

As part of our team you will be responsible for helping to maintaining an accurate stock holding within the depot. This will be achieved by conducting perpetual inventory, investigating any discrepancies and credits in stock counts. You will investigate any errors to establish the root cause and provide recommendations to improve our processes and procedures. You will also complete stock adjustments, count schedules and KPI’s and helping within the busy Goods in Admin department. Some weekend work is required.

You will work methodically and accurately in different temperature environments to help manage the depot’s extensive stock holding. Your role will involve moving heavy products so the ability to lift heavy objects is required.

You should have experience of working to targets and working well under pressure. You will be a good team player who supports our Company values. Knowledge of food hygiene and experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. A fork lift truck/Reach truck license would be desirable but not essential. You will be working 5 out of 7 days, 40 hours per week.

Your duties will meet the operational needs of our warehouse. These can range from working on inbound deliveries, replenishing stock, picking and loading food and non-food products and checking off orders against pick sheet requirements.

Ideally, you’ll have food warehousing and distribution experience and you must be fit and healthy as the role requires you to be able to lift objects of up to 20 kilogrammes. A reach truck or FLT licence is desired but not essential.

You’ll need to be up to date and compliant with all health & safety and food hygiene legislation. You’ll be used to working to targets and will have an accurate and methodical approach to your work.
