The National Call Centre team provide an essential service to single major National Accounts by ensuring customer orders are taken in an efficient and professional manner.

As the Manager you will have the full responsibility for managing the department which currently consists of 13 sales people, your priorities will be to maximise sales opportunities and ensure the delivery of the Bidfood principles of Service Excellence.

You will manage the performance of your team to ensure that they meet expected sales targets. You will identify any training and development needs of individuals and you may have and work closely with relevant internal and external training providers to ensure that these needs are met.

You will work with the Account Leadership team and external supplier partners to ensure that all opportunities to work profitably with the customer is fully utilised.

You will be required to create and sustain positive working relationships with all depots within the network of wholesale depots to ensure on-going support for the National Call Centre.

You will have experience in a call centre role and be comfortable using a computer based ordering system. You will have proven experience in managing and motivating staff to achieve set standards and targets. You should have a good commercial awareness and have experience of working in a pressurised and challenging environment. You will need to be flexible in your approach, managing your team to ensure that all customer needs are met in the hours of the operation by organising relevant cover and staffing levels. Excellent communication skills are essential.
