Internal communication and engagement advisor

We’re expanding our team!  We have an exciting opportunity for a creative communicator with great written skills and a passion for service.

As part of our small but growing internal communication team, you’ll play a key role in our organisation.  Working with the Internal Communication and Engagement Manager, you’ll help develop and deliver the right communications to support our business strategy, HR employee engagement initiatives and other key business messages.

This role offers a good deal of variety. Some examples of your responsibilities include preparing material for our company intranet, management briefings, email bulletins and other internal communications channels, as well as managing a number of specific communication campaigns and employee engagement projects.

Current projects that you’re likely to take on include delivering the results of our annual employee engagement survey, coordinating an employee ideas initiative and building an online resource area for line managers.

You will also provide administrative support relating to on-going updates to the intranet, our processes and event organisation, along with management of the internal communication mailbox and communication plan.

To be successful in this role you will need excellent written skills and experience of delivering across a number of projects simultaneously.  The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a communication role, but other backgrounds will be considered.

Although the role will be based in the lively HR Shared Services office, you will need to be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision, as the I.C.E. Manager works from different locations day-to-day. You should also have a good eye for design and detail, as you will be required to create visual presentations and brief external designers, as well as providing proof-reading support and advising managers.

Ideally, you should also have a full driving licence as the national nature of our business means occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.

Interviews for successful applicants are expected to take place in Chepstow, between 20th and 31st March.  You will also be asked to complete a verbal reasoning assessment.

Benefits

Pension, 25 days holiday per year (plus public holidays), healthcare cash plan, childcare vouchers, personal accident insurance, employee discounts, free parking, laptop.
