Insight Executive – Slough

Operating in a broad research capacity you will cover a wide range of subjects within the foodservice sector, from service delivery to sustainability, from tasting to trends. With days that vary from working with our insights partners and/or foodservice customers to attending exhibitions and food tours you will learn a wealth of experience, to develop a deeper understanding of the importance of supporting our customers and our channel communities in executing foodservice excellence.

You will be key in contributing to the achievement of Bidfood’s mission and vision ensuring insight is at the heart of everything we do through:

  • Working with stakeholders across Bidfood to contribute to the setting and leading of our insights roadmap and strategy
  • Inputting to the design, execution and delivery of traditional – and less-traditional – insights and research pieces
  • Assisting in embedding the purpose and outcomes of research and strategy pieces to drive actions and improvements to encourage a different way of thinking
  • Taking care of the day-to-day management of the company-wide Service Excellence measurement tool and reporting portal
  • Striving to unearth new insights to keep yourself, the team and the business up-to-date with the market landscape, the channels and consumers
  • Assisting in the planning, development and delivery of an inspiring and actionable ‘Food and Drink Trends’ event to ensure each of these popular annual events is better than the last
  • Collaborating with our innovation pipeline initiative to develop concepts, product ranges and campaigns that deliver customer and consumer centric product portfolios
  • Ensuring yours and the team’s work gets noticed inside and outside the business
  • Embracing own personal development in terms of insights skills and business knowledge

As an experienced research you will have/be:

  • A minimum 2.1 degree in any discipline
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confident and credible presenting
  • An inquisitive and questioning mind-set – with strong attention to detail
  • An ability to recognise patterns in data to develop a story
  • A self-starter – proactive and conscientious
  • Can-do attitude – willing to try new things, and get stuck in
  • Good Powerpoint and Excel skills
  • A collaborative working approach
  • Any database/analytical software experience a benefit
