HR Assistant – Chepstow

A role has arisen for an HR Assistant to join our HRSS Team, based in Chepstow.

The role of the HR Assistant is to support the HR Team and the business with HR transactional administration. The role holder gives basic information and process-related advice to our customers in a specific region supporting the Shared Services strategy to offer an efficient and professional service maintaining and exceeding standards and service requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering HR Transactional processes (e.g change of terms, disciplinary invites etc) in line with standards and targets
  • Providing accurate and appropriate information and process-related advice to customers
  • Identifying and contributing to process improvements as directed by HR Services Supervisor
  • Inputting information and cleansing information in order to maintain the HR Payroll System
  • Maintaining electronic and hard copy employee files
  • Involvement and support in specific projects and specialist areas (i.e. supporting managers to use the Process Library)

To be successful in the role you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including 2010.
  • Have confidence when undertaking tasks and check when unsure.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrate strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Demonstrate strong Computer/IT skills

Previous experience working within HR and an HR qualification would be advantageous.
