Head of Freetrade Sales – Worthing

Do you have a passion for selling? Are you a self confessed foodie?

Bidfood Worthing are looking for a Head of Freetrade sales to support the General Manager in developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base via the field and telesales teams.

You will need to ensure you have an effective sales strategy which is communicated to the team and ensure that they are trained and supported as necessary to enable them to achieve their new business and existing business growth targets.

You will be able to demonstrate strong motivational and people management skills within a sales environment. You will be an effective communicator in various situations and to a wide ranging audience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans
  • Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Tactical budget and target setting for the depot, team and individuals

Minimum requirements are:

  • Proven sales experience of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Previous experience as a sales manager
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Demonstrable experience developing client-focused differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to influence and manage team results through the team managers

You will be expected to travel as required by the role which will include overnight stays.
