General Sales Manager – Midlands and South

We are currently looking for an additional talented and experienced individual to join our team as a Group Sales Manager. This will involve managing and developing the capability of our Sales Development Managers and supporting our current structure within the existing FTM regional teams. This will be working to cover the Midlands and London region.

You must bring a real passion to succeed with excellent management skills to facilitate your respective regional teams and to ensure delivery of budgeted margin performance.

You will need to have the skills required to successfully lead, manage and develop your team
with greater emphasis on training your individual team members to become high performing individuals and collectively, a high performing sales team. You will be responsible for reporting, on a monthly basis across all key performance indicators on behalf of your team.

On the job training is a significant part of this role, with a greater emphasis on spending time in the field with your team members. You will also need to be a strong communicator and influencer to help facilitate the growth of this sector with both external and internal customers. Suitable candidates will have the ability to create a great team environment, not only with your direct reports, but also across the whole FTM team.

An understanding of the dynamics and commercial aspects of consortia purchasing is of high importance. You will be required to be involved in those local and regional key tenders that are managed through our commercial team and therefore an understanding of this process, together with strong commercial skills, including understanding the dynamics of profit studies and commercial proposals is essential, together with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This job role will involve a large geographical area and therefore a requirement to travel including the occasional overnight stay will be required.
