Driver trainer – Stowmarket

A bit about the role

As part of the team, you will be responsible for driving and sustaining improvement in all areas of transport, while maintaining the best possible level of service to our customers.

Consistently delivering improved KPL’s with the use of training, assessments and monitoring the Microlise system.

Monitor driver Tachograph infringements on a weekly basis using our optac system, to identify and deliver individual accompaniments, and depot familiarisation.

Investigation of all accidents, accident site visits, produce site specific reports, assessments and retraining of drivers if necessary. Accompanying drivers on routes to provide support, information, highlighting improvements to drivers and the Transport department. Provide support to the transport team to achieve targeted cost reductions and department efficiencies.

A bit about you

You’ll have a minimum LGV 2 license with two years driving experience within a multidrop environment and experience of working in a busy Transport Office with excellent communication and organisational skills with a professional manner with the ability to listen and use effective questioning techniques. Competent with IT skills, multitasking and to work under pressure.

You will be flexible covering the late shift working 5 over 7 days a week.
